Manhunt for truck driver who killed 2 women
The Police at Takoradi are on a manhunt for a manganese truck driver who crashed women to death near Apimenim last week.
The man, who was driving a Mercedes Benz truck with the registration WR 171-09, was said to have lost control of the truck which was loaded with manganese, and ran over the two women who were walking by the road side.
It then crashed into a building under construction, causing damage to it.
Police have say they are yet to identify the driver of the truck who bolted away after the accident.
The women, all employees of the Ghana Rubber Estate Limited have been identified as only as Auntie Yaaba, 50 years and Afibiyesan, 54.
“Efforts are being made to arrest the driver,” the Police said.
