Asake, Rema set new Afrobeats records
Nigerian singers Rema and Asake have recently set new Afrobeats records.
Asake won the 2024 GQ Global Creative Award becoming the first Afrobeats artist to win the award.
The elated singer shared a picture of the plaque via his Instagram story and tagged GQ.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ is nominated for “Best Hit International” at the 2024 Swiss Music Awards.
Calm Down became the first Nigerian/Afrobeats song to earn a Swiss Awards nomination.
