Watch Andre Ayew’s powerful goal against PSG in 3-3 draw
Andre Ayew was on target for his club, Le Havre, in the French Ligue 1, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
The team held champions Paris Saint Germain to a three-all result which meant PSG’s Ligue 1 title celebrations had to be put on hold.
Ayew scored with a low shot from inside the penalty area to restore Le Havre’s lead after their opener was cancelled.
The goal is his fifth against the champions over his many stints in the French toplight.
The 34-year-old Ghana skipper has now been involved in 7 goals (5 goals and 2 assists) against PSG, his highest goal contribution against a single French club.
Christopher Operi broke the deadlock when he rounded off a neat move in the 19th minute and, though Bradley Barcola equalised, Andre Ayew’s strike restored the visitors’ lead before half-time, a ghanasoccernet.com report stated.
In the second half, Le Havre scored first to make the tally 3-1 but the champions rallied to snatch a draw after two late goals.
The goal is also Ayew’s fifth of the season for Le Havre, a side embroiled in a relegation fight.
