Wesley Senior High School records COVID-19 case
A female student of the Wesley Senior High School(WEHIS), Konongo, in the Ashanti region has tested positive for COVID-19.
The student reportedly showed signs of the virus and had to be referred to the Manhyia Government Hospital for treatment.
An uncle of the student who confirmed the news on Kumasi based Nhyira FM revealed that the student was sent out of the school without strict adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines.
He decried the manner in which both the school and health authorities in Konongo handled the situation.
Already, some students of Accra Girls Senior High School(SHS) have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to sources, tests conducted on some students who showed symptoms of the novel Coronavirus and were in isolation at the sickbay came out positive.
Those who tested positive are receiving treatment at the Ga East Municipal Hospital.
