W/R: The Ahanta Youth Association set to throw support for Mr Charles Cromwell

The Ahanta Youth Association ( A.Y.A.) in the Western Region has held a Press Conference to throw more support for Mr Charles Cromwell Nana Banyin Onuawonto Bissue, the Secretary of the Inter Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining who is a Member of the Association.

The meeting was held at BUSUA BEACH RESORT at BUSUA in the Ahanta West Municipality in the Western Region and was attended by a massive crowd from in and around Western Region including some traditional Ahanta Chiefs and some Ahantas from the Diaspora.

A UK based Hotelier Mr Kwesi Ackah commended Mr Bissue for his exemplary achievements in fighting the illegal mining activities in Ghana resulting in cleaning the rivers .

This is the release after the meeting addressed by a UK based business mogul Mr Joseph Atta Yankey.

We the Ahanta Youth AssociatIon ( A.Y.A ) in the Western Region , Tema Metropolitan Assembly in the Greater Accra Region and U.K.in a joint press release after our meeting at BUSUA BEACH RESORT at BUSUA in the Ahanta West Municipal , wish to state unequivocally that our brother and the only Ahanta in the heart of the current Government , Mr Charles Cromwell Nana Banyin Onuawonto Bissue is a dedicated and hardworking Member of our Association since its establishment ten years ago.and has been the back backbone of our famous AssociatIon through whom hundreds of our ethnic members have got assistance to continue their education and got jobs without accepting any financial considerations from beneficiaries.

He is very loyal, dedicated, selflessness, humble to our course and has over the past ten years contributed hugely to Education development in the Ahanta West Municipality through the provision of Educational logistics to tens of schools in the areas without accepting anything in return.

He is incorruptible and therefore came to us as a shock when an edited version of Mr Anas Aremeyaw Anas’s video that went viral portrayed him as a corrupt Government official and what even baffled thousands of Ahantas in the Western Region, Ghana and the Diaspora is an allegation by Mr Anas Aremeyaw Anas that he Mr Charles Nana Banyin Onuawonto Bissue took a meagre Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Ghana cedis to circumvent a laid down procedure in acquiring Mining licence to operate, an amount our Association can quadruple to Mr Bissue at his birthday or any other day as a genuine GIFT.

We the Members initially pressed on him NOT to step aside and continue working hard for Mother Ghana but to him , stepping aside for investigation to continue is his BEST option and belief .

The entire membership of our AssociatIon therefore add our voices to the numerous calls including the Western Region/ Western North Npp fraternity , some Ahanta Chiefs and Elders , some Western Region clergies and millions of well meaning and discerning Ghanaians that Mr Anas Aremeyaw Anas should do us good by producing the raw footage of the alleged Galamsey Fraud PART 1 video to the State investigative agencies to carry out the necessary investigations in the shortest possible time for Ghanaians to know the TRUTH nothing but the TRUTH..

The Ahanta Youth Association ( A.Y.A.) a Non Political ethnic group in Ghana and abroad would never ever condone in any act of bribery and corruption and would fully support any punishment against Mr Charles Bissue in an unlikely event , if found guilty with the unedited footage .

The Association also support the appeal by the Western Region/ Western North Npp fraternity and some Ahanta Chiefs to the Government of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to expedite the process and if indeed he Mr Bissue is found guilty the laws of the land should take it course and also if Mr Anas Aremeyaw Anas is also delaying the process, he should be impressed upon to cooperate with the Government and the State agency as he is been doing in the cases of the assassination of his close friend Ahmed Suale and Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi. by submitting himself to the authority and follow due process of LAW.

We the Association and thousands of our ethnic members ( AHANTA) are certain that our brother, father, child, is innocent and will be vindicated if the unedited footage is submitted to state agencies for further investigation

The Association finally support the numerous calls to His Excellency Nana Addo Darkwa Akufo Addo to reinstated or call our only hope in the heart of his Government back to work if Mr Anas Aremeyaw Anas is not willing to haste the process of investigation for him to continue with his Excellent and hardwork in fighting the illegal mining in Ghana which you have targeted to end by the end of your first term.
