How Davido made $600K with a single social media post
Afrobeats singer, Davido has recounted how he raised $600,000 (690 million naira) from devoted fans to mark his birthday.
In a recent interview on the Business Untitled Podcast, he disclosed how he made a post on social media pleading for financial assistance to clear his luxurious Cullinan car with Nigerian Customs. He made the plea ahead of his birthday.
Davido said he was surprised by the generosity of fans when the money exceeded his expectations.
He said a single social media post pushed his fanbase into action, resulting in unexpected contributions totaling $600,000.
The singer also revealed he made N1.3m at his show at the MSG Arena.
