‘Shine young King!’ – Davido salutes Rema on winning ‘Best Afrobeats Song’ at VMA
Rema beat the likes of Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Ayra Starr to the maiden award.
On receiving the award, Rema acknowledged the immense contribution of Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid toward promoting the genre.
Davido after the show took to his X page to congratulate Rema, describing the Calm Down crooner as worthy winner.
On his X handle, he wrote; “Well deserved! Shine young King! @heisrema”
