Phone thieves nabbed in Accra
Two mobile phone thieves have been arrested by the Police in Accra.
According to the Police, the two, Charles Kofi Ntiyw 36, and Richard Ofori Amoako 31 picked up a lady in a taxi cab they were using for commercial purposes at Community 20 to Accra.
The lady according to the Police was offered the back seat where Richard Ofori Amoako was already sitting.
When the Lady arrived at her destination, she was unable to open her door. So, Richard Ofori Amoako pretended to give her a helping hand only for him to steal her phone from her bag.
Noticing that she had lost her iPhone 11, she immediately called out for help by which time the two suspects had already sped off.
The young men who came to her aid and pursued the taxi until they caught up with them in traffic.
The two have since been handed over to the Police for further investigations.
