NDC Shooting: Police invite, question Yamoah Ponkoh, Yammin
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has invited the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ejisu, Mr Yamoah Ponkoh, for interrogation concerning the shooting incident that happened at the regional office of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
A search was also conducted in his house based on intelligence that he was harbouring guns.
Mr Ponkoh, who confirmed his invitation in an interview with Kumasi FM’s Elisha Adarkwah, said the police, in two pickups, stormed his house on Tuesday, 19 February 2019, with arms and conducted a search and subsequently invited him.
He said they found nothing and later took his statement. He revealed that former Deputy Minister of the Ashanti Region, Joseph Yammin, has also been invited by the police over the same incident.
