Ibrahim Tanko and Stephen Appiah land Hearts of Oak coaching job
Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have reached an agreement with Ibrahim Tanko and Stephen Appiah for their vacant coaching job.
Kickgh.com can exclusively report that the duo met the board chairman of the club, Togbe Afedi over the weekend to finalize talks for the Hearts of Oak coaching role
Hearts of Oak will be confirming Ibrahim Tanko as the new head coach with Stephen Appiah as the assistant coach in the coming hours.
Tanko is currently the head coach of the Black Stars ‘B’ and has previously handle the Ghana U23 team.
Also, he was one of Coach Kwesi Appiah’s assistant coaches at the senior national team of Ghana.
Appiah who was the Black Stars technical team coordinator is landing his first coaching job as deputy gaffer at his former club.
Hearts of Oak have been guided in the ongoing Ghana Premier League by Coach Edward Odoom where they currently occupy ninth position with 17 points after twelve matches
Hearts of Oak have been without a substantive head coach after Coach Kim Grant was sacked in December last year
