Ghanaian footballer passes away in Bangladesh
Ghanaian footballer Frank Twum Ntini has died in Bangladesh after battling with a short illness.
Twum Ntiri and one other Ghanaian player Richard Dzifa Appiae were arrested in January, 2020 for the possession of 7,500 pieces of Yaba tablets which is classified as a banned substance in the Asian country.
Yaba tablet contains a mixture of methamphetamine and caffeine and the illicit use of this drug combination has caused problems in South East Asian countries.
According to the reports Ntiti who was a player of Chittagong Abahani Limited FC before his arrest and detention fell sick while in prison and he was sent to the hospital for treatment.
But after battling for his life for a week at the hospital he passed away on Friday morning.
