Ga North MCE, Gertrude Naa Ankrah is DEAD
Reliable family sources have confirmed that Municipal Chief Executive of Ga North Municipal Assembly Madam Gertrude Naa Ankrah has passed on.
Details of her death are sketchy but family has asked for privacy in this difficult time.
Gertrude Naa Ankrah has received wide praise from footsoldiers of the ruling New Patriotic Party for being someone whose doors were always open to all as a mother figure.
There were strong indications that President Akufo-Addo was bound to retain her as MCE in his second term but death has ended her term.
Tributes have been pouring in for her across the country and within the NPP.
Clement Wilkinson, the MCE for Ga West said his heart is in pain about his friend and sister’s death.
“A sister, friend and colleague MCE for Ga North left us to join our maker today. My heart is deeply in pain and I’m shocked at her demise. She was also a former women organizer for Trobu/Amasaman constituency. May her soul Rest In Peace. 😭😭😭” he wrote.
Patrick Kumor who is MCE for Weija Gbawe said he couldn’t believe the news:
“I cannot believe you are no longer with us… I have to believe that God has bigger plans for you. Sincere condolences. Rest well Gertrude Naa Ankrah MCE, Ga North” he wrote.
More and more tributes have been pouring.
