Diaso: Brave gold dealer overpowers 7 armed robbers; kills one
The bravado exhibited by a gold dealer and his subordinate workers has led to the killing of one of seven armed robbers who attempted attacking him at Diaso in Upper Denkyira West District of the Western Region.
According to police sources available to MyNewsGh.com, the seven armed robbers one welding an SMG rifle and others with pump action guns and cutlasses attacked the victim and two of his workers amidst firing.
He aimed at one of the robbers and managed to gun him down with his pump action gun. The rest realizing what was amiss immediately run into the bush.
The two of the workers of the businessman who sustained gunshot injuries, were rushed to Diaso Health centre and later referred to Bibiani Government Hospital for treatment.
An official complaint was lodged with the police and upon a visit to the crime scene, found a male adult aged about 28 lying dead in a supine position with deep gunshot wounds at the back of the body.
The SMG rifle with number M 63810 together with five rounds of ammunition were retrieved from the scene and the body deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy.
