Coconut seller butchers friend to death over coconut husks
A man believed to be in his twenties has been butchered to death by his friend at Breman Kokoso in the Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa district of the Central Region.
The Victim Kojo Mensah popularly Known as Mandela had an argument with his friend Kweku Boadu popularly known as Cantona over coconut husks.
Eyewitnesses told Kasapa FM News’ Yaw Boagyan that the deceased told the suspect Kweku Boadu to pick all the coconut husks he had left there after selling the items and also sweep the place because he is fond of leaving the coconut husks at the selling point.
This according to eyewitness brought misunderstanding between them. Kweku Boadu then out of anger took a cutlass and butchered his friend on his head three-time, shoulder and many parts of his body.
The victim was quickly rushed to Breman Asikuma our Lady of Grace Hospital but unfortunately, he died on the way.
Some bystanders who witnessed the incident then pounced on the ‘murderer’ and beat him to pulp resulting in his collapse and was sent to Breman Asikuma Hospital for treatment.
The body of Kojo Mintah has been deposited at the Asikuma Mortuary for autopsy.
The Breman Asikuma Police Command has commenced an investigation into the case.
