Ashanti regional Chairman for All People’s Congress (APC) Dr. Kassim Ahmed Sisago has called on National Communication Authority (NCA) to close down Net 2 television station with immediate effect.
The televsion station which belongs to Hon Kennedy Agyapong according to him was the media house through which Hon Kennedy Agyapong disclosed the identity of the murdered investigative journalist Hussein Ahmed Suale and incited the public against the latter.
The NCA he advised should be on their toes by demonstrating to all Ghanaians that they are not ready to entertain an foul comment which has the tendency of endangering  the lives of noble citizens and also plunge the nation into confusion. “The comment made by Hon Kennedy Agyapong constitutes crime and should be dealt with accordingly” he said.
All journalists in Ghana according to the regional Chairman should also register their displeasure by boycotting all activities of New Patriotic Party (NPP) and for that matter government as a way of drawing the attention of people to the fact that no one is above the laws of the country.
Ghanaian journalists he underlined should not allow themselves to be influenced by the peanuts they receive from some politicians in the country but should instead voice out in annoyance for the enforcement of the law against Hon Kennedy Agyapong.
Speaking exclusively to the pressradio.com, Mr Kassim expressed disappointment over why practicing journalists failed to make a police report after Mr Kennedy made public the  identity, residential location and incited the public against the murdered investigative partner of Anas Aremeyaw Anas before his death.
Most  journalists out of greediness and  stomach journalism failed to raise a comment against the inactions of the Member of Parliament thinking they may loose loose what they earn from some politicians belonging to the ruling party.
