Circumstances surrounding the brutal murder of a woman believed to be in her 40s by her own son at Amoaman, a community located within Atwima Nwabiagya North District in Ashanti region has taken a different twist.

Family members of the deceased called Akosua Amina are apologising over what they have underlined as false remarks and accusations raised by some of their members against the Chief for the area Nana Agyenim Boateng.

The appology according to intelligence  gathered by THE PRESS RADIO was sparked by the descion taken by the traditional leaders of the area which is to restrain the family from carrying out any burial service until an appology is rendered.

The burial rights is schudled for 12 January 2019 but until an unqualified remorse and oppology are expressed on the airwaves by the family members, the body of the deceased according to our intellegence will not be buried, let alone the staging of  her funeral premised on the reason that they (family) has soiled hard earned reputation of the Chief.

FALSE ACCUSATION

Some members of the family who were engaged by several media houses at the time the incident occured  peddled accusations against the Chief that the performance of a ritual to the detest of the gods of the area by the latter (Chief) was what triggered the murder of the deceased by her own son called Arthur Kwadwo.

They accused that the Chief few days before the incident occurred introduced a fetish priest into the community to perform a ritual amidst animal sacrifice on an ancient  asteroid which according to them fell from the sky and settled in the community years ago.

Some members of the family as part of their accusation stated that because the evil spirit possessing the asteroid detest blood sacrifice, the spirit out of provocation entered the young boy to murder his own mother in cold blood.

However in a statement of retraction made by the family head (abusua panin) of the deceased Agya Kofi Nti, all allegations peddled against the Chief Nana Agyenim Boateng are totally  fallacious and should be relegated to the background by the public.

Members of the family of the deceased under the leadership of Agya Kofi Nti during an exclusive interview set the record straight that the brutal murder was a self inflicted implication of a heinous error committed by the son of the deceased.

Premised on the foregoing, he rendered an unqualified apology to the Chief Nana Agyenim Boateng and his subordinates and beged for their forgiveness over every inconvenience caused.

“We are through this medium rendering our apology to traditional elders of this community over false comment made against them” he said.
