Stop charging and accepting payments for goods and services in foreign currency – BoG
The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has warned companies, institutions and individuals to desist from charging and accepting payments for goods and services with foreign currencies in Ghana.
In a statement issued by the Central Bank on Monday May 13, 2019, the Central Bank stated that the Foreign Exchange Act, 2006 (Act 723) prohibits the pricing, advertising and receipt or payment for goods and services in foreign currency in Ghana.
