Soldiers won’t be your oppression tool – Vanderpuije to govt
MP for Ododiodio Nii Lante Vanderpuije has warned Deputy Defence minister Major Rtd. Derrick Oduro not to count on the military government intends oppressing Ghanaians ahead of the December polls.
According to him, the military will not allow themselves to be used as a tool for oppression.
Speaking to Starr News after a statement on the floor on International Day for the UN Peacekeepers, the Deputy Defence minister said “Ghana’s military is ready to deal with any trouble maker during the compilation of the new voters’ register and December 7 polls.”
Reacting also on Starr Today, the former presidential staff said: “soldiers have always been on the side of the oppressed. It can never be used as a tool of oppression.”
“The army is not like the police you cannot push them around,” he added.
