SAD AUDIO: 10-year-old girl killed in her home at Tema
A family at Adjei Kojo Suncity in the Tema West Municipality is in shock after finding their daughter in a pool of blood in their home on September 4.
According to the mother of the deceased, Salomey Terkpertey, she was with her daughter at the shop where she sells food before the incident.
Speaking to Adom News’ Issabella Ave, she said her 10-year-old daughter, Nyamyo Nartey, felt sleepy and had to take the lead home.
When she returned home around 10:30 pm, Salomey, found her daughter lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit.
Father of the deceased, Frederick Nartey said he had traveled to Kede in the Eastern Region when he got the news of his daughter’s demise.
He stated that after the CID examined the body, they revealed that Nyamyo had also been stabbed and had other cuts on her body.
Mr. Nartey who rents a room in a compound house said he was surprised no one in the house witnessed the incident.
The tenants are also calling for a deeper investigation to uncover the perpetrators behind the crime.
Meanwhile, police in the area have picked up the body and have commenced investigations.
