NDC Running Mate: The kick is not an Akan

Published

on

The appointment of a good running mate is vital for the victory of the NDC in the 2024 general election. For that matter, a painstaking look and attention has to be given to this all-important mandate to fully get it right.
The whispers so far about the concerns of some interest groups on the RM selection is that the NDC should go for an AKAN person. Strategically and frankly speaking, the TRICK is not about selecting an AKAN to satisfy regional interest or some “power bloc” but rather, the interest of the NDC and Ghana at large. Again, we must understand that more essential to Ghanaians is the kind of development we extend to them after power is entrusted into the hands of our Flag-bearer. As such, it is important to consider a person of excellent industrial influence to complement the qualities of our incoming president, John Dramani Mahama.
Away from that, we should look for someone from the Jerry John Rawlings external family to honor the late founding father. Mind you, election 2024 is more spiritual than physical. Prez. J. E. A Mills passed on and he was honored with the late Amissah Arthur. Mr. Amissah Arthur passed on and he was honored with Prof. Naana. Now, the founder of the party is no more and it is only important that we honor him with someone from the Volta Region, especially an individual from the Agbotui/Tamakloe Family!
The late Papa J once said that we cannot continue to imitate and emulate our opponent. We have a tradition we must cherish. Taking running mate from Volta is a guarantee of the NDC’s victory in 2024. We need a RM from the World Bank of the party to get back the votes lost/denied in 2020, and more importantly the spirit of NDC to back the party since the founding father Rawlings who signed the NDC constitution with his blood is no more.
It is the only way to compensate and invoke the party’s spirit back. We need someone who can be easily accepted by Ghanaians who have lost trust in the political system. This personality, I believe, will help the party fill a large percentage of almost 500 thousand votes deficit and more to ensure victory for the NDC in 2024.
Let’s endeavour to strengthen our base by inspiring hope and reminding the people of Volta that the party has not forgotten them. What matters to Volta now is the vice Presidency. Any arguments contrary to this is self centered.
Let’s assure the base of a befitting reward of the vice presidential position when the party forms the next government.
The election 2024 is a crucial one which i consider as “do or die” affair. For us not to experience the falling trend of our votes which may befall us in 2024, there is the need to chose our running mate from the Volta Region and that should be no other person than Comrade LESLIE MENSAH TAMAKLOE. I say so because, he has the aforementioned attributes it takes to command more votes from the Volta and Oti regions and across the country for victory 2024.
Let’s drop the defeatist slogan of calling some regions as minority and concentrate on other means to get more votes to seal the victory in this years election.
LESLIE MENSAH TAMEKLOE from the Volta with his wife Mrs. Kate Tamakloe from Greater Accra, specifically James Town, will do the TRICK.
God bless us all.
