NAM 1 denied bail by Ghanaian police; due for court tomorrow
Embattled Menzgold Chief Executive, Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1 has been denied bail by the Ghanaian police shortly after they had picked him from the Kotoka International Airport.
NAM 1 arrived in Ghana from Dubai via an Emirates 787 flight from Dubai where he had been in law enforcement agents’ custody for months.
He was whisked away by the Ghana Police Service to the Headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department where he is being questioned on the charges of “defrauding by false pretence and money laundering”.
Attempts by his lawyers to secure bail for him has, however, been turned down by the police as they prepare him for court tomorrow, Friday, July 12 2019.
