Masked gunmen rain terror on mobile money vendors; bolt with GHC16k
Six masked men armed with assault rifles on Friday attacked four Mobile Money vendors in Bawku in the Upper East region, police said.
The gunmen also made away with a whopping GhC16,925 from the vendors and undisclosed number of mobile phones during the operation, a police report said.
The Bawku District police command has arrested two persons – Ali Abudu, 48, and Hamidu Yahaya, 40, – in connection with the robbery.
The police said they retrieved five casing of AK 47 ammunition at the crime scene.
