Manso Nkwanta killing; “enforce justice and not GHs 1,750,000 compensation package”- Muslim leader jabs Prez
National Chairman for Muslim Executives Foundation Alhaji Musah Abubakari has stated that until President Akuffo Addo prosecutes and display at the full glare of the public police personnel charged over the shooting of seven zongo youths at Manso Nkwanta, he (Chairman) will remain unsatisfied by the compensation package given to families of the deceased.
All police officials involved he asserted should be named and dragged before court for prosecution since none of them is above the laws governing the country.
Alhaji Musah stated without mincing words that the GH 1,750,000 compensation package defeats the purpose of justice, challenging further that if the ruling government is truly an advocate of justice, then he must ensure that the killers of the seven zongo youths are made to face the wrath of the law without fear or favor.
“If ordinary citizens are arrested and sentenced even over minimal offenses, then I think these police officers should not be left off the hook… My brother why should they be spared? Are they superior to ordinary citizens who have been convicted!!?” he roared in an exclusive with THE PRESS RADIO.
Alhaji Abubakari Musah made it clear through this medium that President Akuffo Addo should have dealt squarely with the police men even before the announcement of the compensation package.
