Majeed Waris completes Strasbourg switch
French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg have finalized the signing of Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Ghana’s leading football portal, GHANAsoccernet.com disclosed on Tuesday that the 28-year-old is close to completing a move to Strasbourg.
La Racing announced the signing of the Ghana striker on a six month loan deal from Portuguese giants FC Porto with the option to buy for €2 million.
Waris had been put on ice at the Estádio Do Dragão since returning from a loan spell at FC Nantes.
Strasbourg are the fourth French club the Ghanaian will representing — having played for Valenciennes, FC Lorient and FC Nantes — where he netted 5 goals in 33 matches across all competitions.
