Mahama’s ‘Onuador’ vans only fit to sell ice-cream and Yoghurt – Abronye DC jabs
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC has descended heavily on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) bigwigs for making ‘noise’ about the delays that characterized the distribution of ambulances by Akufo-Addo-led government.
The NPP executive in response to criticism made by the Ranking Member on the Health of Parliament and NDC MP for Sefwi Akotombra, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh said the so-called 8 ‘Onuador’ mobile clinic vans procured under the erstwhile administration are not fit for purpose which must be their major concern instead.
Mr. Akando had earlier revealed to the media that the jamboree to commission only about 200 ambulances out of the 275 the government was needless.
“The jamboree and funfair was needless,” he said, adding that though he propagated for distribution of the ambulances, the accompanying funfair was a waste of state resources.”
He further explained that he was reliably informed that only 130 out of 200 ambulances displayed at the ceremony were the ones fit for purpose.
“The other ambulances are still under installation processes so why waste money to commission just a few. The NPP government should know that this will not win them elections,” he added.
But speaking to MyNewsGh.com, Abronye DC urged the lawmaker to keep mute on the delayed distribution of the ambulances to the Constituencies across the country for emergency services, exposing him for peddling falsehood about the exact number
He maintained that last Tuesday, President Akufo-Addo commissioned 307 and distributed 275 to all the Constituencies across the country with the remainder packed at the Ministry of Special Development Initiative for further distribution.
According to him, NDC bigwigs do not have the moral right to talk about the ambulances commissioned by President Akufo-Addo adding that the Onuador vans imported by the former President Akufo-Addo cannot be used for healthcare delivery but can only be used in the distribution of ice-cream and yoghurt.
“Onuador vans or Onuador ambulances imported by Mahama are only good for Fan milk or fan Yogurt sellers and not fit for healthcare delivery as alluded by the NDC minority in Parliament”, he fired.
