Founder and Leader for Pillar of Zion Church International Evangelist Akwasi Awuah has said that the collapse of many churches in Ghana is caused by the fact that the foundation of their formation was not positioned on the word of God.

There were several churches that were vibrant, sprung into prominence as a result but later faded out of recognition after the death of their founder all because they were established on miracles, healings, deliverance, prayers, prophecy and not on the teaching and preaching of the word of God.

According to the renowned preacher, men of God who hold the perception that prophecy and miracles is what will propel the swift growth of their church are only working out the decline of their denominations.
He explained that the word of God is what sustains the congregation and for that matter the church since it nurtures them into spiritual maturity and consequently maintains their connection to the church and God.

Speaking to THE PRESS RADIO exclusively,Evangelist Akwasi Awuah advised that founders and leaders of churches especially the up and coming ones should factor the foregoing principle in the running of their church if they want them (churches) to survive.

He stated that “a minstry with a good administrative structure and a sound word of God will always last”
Men of God he advised should leave their lives as good mentors to their associate Pastors by giving them all the training needed to handle and lead a church. “…as a leader and a founder of a church, there are times that you have to offer the pulpit to your associates to preach or teach. When this is done, you will be able to access their strength and weakness. Leaders must learn to exchange pulpits with Pastors who are under them.” he advised.
