Funke Akindele weeps bitterly as troll curses her twins after Aderounmu Adejumoke’s death

Celebrities and fans have been mourning the sudden death of Adejumoke who was best known for her role as ‘Esther’ in the popular Jenifa Diary series.

Adejumoke passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the age of 37.

Funke Akindele has joined the list of famous Nigerians who have lamented the passing of Aderounmu Adejumoke on social media.

Funkle Akindele is criticized by Aderounmu Adeola, the late actress Adejumoke’s brother, who calls her a nasty hypocrite.

He revealed that Funke Akindele was phoned by his late sister, actress Aderounmu Adejumo, but Funke ignored her.

Funke Akindele, however, claims in an Instagram live session with her fans that she was unaware Aderounmu Adejumoke was ill, revealing that it had been a while since she had last seen Adejumoke and that she had even asked her close friend, actor Jide Awobona about Adejumoke.

Funke Akindele continued in the video to say that she had been melancholy for some time due to the loss of both her mother and her marriage failure.

In the video, Funke Akindele sobbed after reading a comment from a netizen expressing that she would bury his twins after the actress Adejumoke Aderounmu’s burial.

Funke Akindele was heartbroken as she stated that she had her difficult times but would have helped if she knew anything about the late Adejumoke before she died.

She continued by saying that she had written the bereaved brother of late actress Adejumoke a message informing him that she had not heard anything about his sister in a long time, but he had not responded.

She said: “Do not forget, I’ve got my trying moments too, during COVID remember, my mum passed on, remember, politics I was backlashed, marriage remember! Somebody now said ‘You will lose your children?’ I think that’s too much. I’m here trying to relax and rest to get my life together. I sent a message to Jumoke’s brother, he saw it but he didn’t reply. I said ‘Oh I’m so sorry, I didn’t hear, I don’t know anything about your sister. I don’t go to blogs as long as my name isn’t being mentioned. I do my thing and I face where I’m going. Yes I’m strict! I’m very strict, I will not take nonsense, I’m focused. Whoever works with me that wants to go can go, whoever wants to stay can stay. Please I have to do this live video because it has to do with Jumoke, may her soul rest in perfect peace, I feel so sorry. I tried, Jide (Awobona) can testify.”

Recall that in 2022, JJC Skillz, the estranged husband of Funke Akindele confirmed the split between himself and the actress on his social media page.

The marriage which lasted for six years, bore the former couple twin boys.

In February 2023, Funke Akindele also lost her mother which had a toll on her as she had to deal with different problems at the same time.
