Family Care School Celebrates Annual Health and Wellness Week
Family Care School is one of the oldest day care Schools in Winneba in the Central Region of Ghana.
Family Care School as part of their academic calendar, celebrated their annual Health and Wellness Week from Monday 4th July to Friday 8th July, 2022.
In an interview with the school director, Mrs Mercy Yarney, said, the Health and Wellness Week celebration was added to their academic calendar in order to promote the wellbeing of children through educating them on what to be taken in and not.
Also, implementing the no pocket juice awareness to the parents wasn’t an easy one but eventually, parents cooperated with the school to trash out pocket juice and stick to our natural fruits and vegetables.
In addition, she advised parents to avoid feeding children with too much oil foods and sugar drinks by rather giving them more fruits and vegetables.

In an interview with some of the teachers and children, they expressed their joy and happiness about the Health and Wellness Week celebration and how the planned activities helped them.
In conclusion, they call on all parents to do away with the pocket juice and embrace our natural fruits and vegetables and also exercise the body as much as possible.
