COVID-19: Ghana’s death toll hits 215
Nine more people infected with COVID-19 have died in Ghana taking the country’s death toll to 215, according to a Ghana Health Service update on Sunday.
According to the GHS 470 new cases have been reported increasing the national tally to 41, 003. The overall active cases stand at 2,458 after 38,330 recoveries and discharges were recorded.
“A total of 470 new cases were reported on August 6, 2020. These are samples that were taken from the period 4 July to 5 August 2020… but reported from the lab on August 6,” GHS said.
