Beef up Ghana’s cyber security now – Minister ‘Cries’ after someone mimicked his voice to insult northerners
The Ashanti Regional Minister Hon. Simon Osei Mensah has said there is the need for Ghana to beef up its cyber security to be able to fight people who flout cyber security laws in the country.
“I think we have to up our security, because it is posing too much threat to the country”, he told Hello FM in Kumasi a phone in interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
Mr. Simon Osei Mensah’s advice comes days after some individuals took to the social media spreading ‘old video’ footages of military men brutalizing civilians purported to be in the cities of Kumasi and Accra during the ongoing lockdown.
Among the several ‘old videos’ released amidst lockdown order by the president were those from different countries and others unrelated to current happenings in Ghana but the Ghana Arm Forces denied the allegations saying only one of them was true adding that the soldier has been sent back to the military barracks to face disciplinary action.
