‘Asiwaju, hunger is killing us’ – Lagosians shout as Tinubu’s massive convoy is spotted in his home state
The President was accompanied by several motorcades and police escorts as he thronged the streets of Lagos.
Several residents trooped out to catch a glimpse of the President.
However, in a video making rounds, some Lagosians were heard crying out. They lamented how they were languishing in hunger.
“Ebin kpa wa o” meaning “Hunger is killing us Asiwaju,” they repeatedly said in the Yoruba language. While others looked on at the huge convoy.
The video which is making rounds on social media has sparked reactions from Nigerians.
Some wondered why Tinubu’s Lagos State looks very dirty as roads was filled with liters.
@chymaker: Look at the environment where his convoy drove through
Folks are dying of hunger but man is living a life he never dreamt of giving himself on Nigerians blood.
@pearlddiva: They are shouting ebin kpa wa o which means hunger wan k!ll us o
Them never see anything yet
@PatoEner: Why is Lagos so dirty?
@chuxenyi: His convoy are more than the people welcoming him on the street
@Pauly2570: This is why they grab power and run with it. Self aggrandizement and life in luxury and affluence.
