Woman steals two weeks old baby at KATH
The Police in the Ashanti region are on a manhunt for a woman who stole two weeks old baby from a 19 year old mother at the Komfo Anotky Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.
The mother of the lost baby admits to have left the baby in the care of her eleven year old daughter to attend to a customer.
According to Otecnews’ reporter, Akwasi Acheampong aka (Kanewu), the alleged baby thief on Wednesday May 13, 2020 approached the innocent teenage mother to go and buy nose mask since the hospital administration was enforcing no ‘mask no entry’ due to Coronavirus pandemic and offered to carry the baby while she went to get some nose masks as well as hand sanitizer.
The mother only returned to the sad story of her stolen baby with no trace of the strange woman.
The victim, Marriam is there appealing to the general public to be on the lookout for any suspicious person found with possession of a two weeks old baby to the police.
Meanwhile, the case has been reported to Ashanti regional Police Command for investigation.
