I’ve COVID-19 but I’m doing well – Joy FM’s Gary Al-Smith confirms
Sports Journalist with the Multimedia Group Limited, Gary Al-Smith who is among 5 staff of the company to have been tested positive for COVID-19 has opened up
The Multimedia Group has said five of its staff have tested positive for the deadly pandemic.
According to the Media group, it has started contact tracing to ensure that other members of the team are safe.
Confirming the report, Gary Al-Smith said he is one of the five people to have tested positive for the deadly disease.
He said he and his family have decided to use this as an opportunity to educate Ghanaians on the disease as a way of battling the stigmatization problem in the country.
He indicated that he’s doing very well and was thankful for the support he has received ever since he tested positive.
He said “As per this statement, Multimedia has recorded five cases of COVID-19.I’m one of the five. After consultation with my family, we have decided that from tonight, I’ll be speaking on radio and TV about my experience. On this page, I will be chronicling my daily experiences and how I feel, every step of the way. My family and I believe this can be my small way of battling the stigmatization problem we face in the country. I’m doing very well, thankfully, and everyone has been very supportive”.
