Woman Found Dead In Pit At Kasoa
A woman believed to be in her early 30s has been found lying dead at Iron city, a suburb of Kasoa in the Central Region.
Dora Buabeng, known by her peers as Ataa, was found half-naked in a pit behind the ‘Father’s legacy school’.
Eyewitnesses who spoke to Citi News said the stench emanating from the dugout, compelled them to proceed there only to find Dora’s decomposed body.
“There was a strong stench coming from a pit just behind the ‘Father’s legacy school’. So we followed up and we found a hand sticking out of the pit dead so we informed the Police and and when the body was exhumed it was Ataa an eye witness said.
“I am sure Ataa has been buried in the pit for almost a week because the body was decomposed after the Police came for her”, another eye witness told Citi News.
Although the perpetrators of the crime have not been arrested, community members say they suspect Ataa’s boyfriend to be behind the murder.
“I always hear Ataa and the boyfriend argue most of the time. She even told me the boy friend took her money and later returned to beg her for forgiveness so I am suspecting it is the boy friend who killed her”, a resident said.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Police hospital Morgue for autopsy.
