School Dir. arrested for non-payment of GHC 6,600 SSNIT contribution
The Director of Ajumako Bisease Glory International School is in the grips of Breman Asikuma Police Command for non-payment of Social Security contribution of his employees.
The Breman Asikuma SSNIT Branch Manager Ms. Janet Oduro in an interview with Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan said Mr. Albert Mfumah and his Co-Director Mr. Ebenezer Eshun stopped paying their workers SSNIT contributions since January 2017 to June 2019.
Several efforts made to get the two Directors to fulfill their obligation did not yield any positive result as the two directors went into hiding until the arrest of Mr. Mfumah on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.
He was processed for court on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. The court asked the accused to make payment of all arrears to SSNIT by September 30th.
The suspect was granted bail and will re-appear before court on September 30th.
The Branch Manager used the opportunity to advise employers to pay their employees Social security contributions without fail and visit the office if they are encountering difficulties.
