John Paintsil tips Michael Essien to become a world-class coach with ease
Former Ghana international, John Paintsil, said ex-Black Stars teammate, Michael Essien, will easily become a world-class coach, because of the level his playing career has reached.
Danish giants, Nordsjaelland, signed the former Chelsea and Real Madrid midfield sensation last week as a player-coach for this forthcoming season. That will help him gain all his coaching badges.
Paintsil, who is also on the verge of acquiring all his coaching badges, said players who have played to the highest level won’t struggle to become top coaches, citing Chelsea’s Frank Lampard and Fulham’s Scott Parker.
“Michael will do this job easily, sometimes players who have played to the highest level easily become excellent coaches.
“Look at Frank Lampard, Scott Parker, and others. Essien does not talk too much and those people when they enter coaching, they do it perfectly”, Paintsil told Max FM.
Nordsjaelland are closely working with Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy and have produced fine footballers like Mohammed Kudus and Abdul Mumin.
There are over nine Ghanaian players on their books, with former Kotoko coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani and Laryea Kingston in their coaching ranks.
