Empress Gifty abandons music to cook on TV?
Several years after pursuing a career in music, Gifty Adorye, popularly known as Empress Gifty, is turning the tables to TV hosting.
She has been announced as the new hostess of a new cooking and talk show dubbed ‘Aben W?ha’ on Media General’s Onua TV.
The show, according to producers, is unique and scintillating, which will be a strictly male-dominated show.
This includes interviewing some of the country’s favourite male pastors, politicians and the crème de la crème of the society.
Empress Gifty is expected to delve deeper into the personal lives, careers, ministries and secrets to the successes of these men.
“It will be deep, exciting, revealing and yet entertaining and expect Empress Gifty to channel her inner energetic self into your latest TV hostess,” a statement from her camp said on Tuesday.
She is, therefore, poised to give presenters in Ghana a run for their money with the show.
However, questions are being asked if this is not a ploy for Empress Gifty to say goodbye to her full-time gospel music career. Also, some music industry observers are wondering if she has the talent to present on TV.
