Bawumia’s in TROUBLE Over Dual Citizenship Allegation
Some Ghanaians are calling for the arrest of Vice President(VP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over what is allegedly described as a crime for the possession of dual citizenship despite holding such a key position in the country.
According to those calling for the arrest of the Vice President, it is a crime for a person in his position to hold dual citizenship, thus Ghanaian and British.
They argued that, according to the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana, it was unlawful to be a citizen of another country whilst holding some key positions like the Vice President of the country.
It is alleged that, the Vice President married a British woman in December 1989 making it easier for him to naturalize as a British.
However, no one is really sure if Dr. Bawumia has denounced his British citizenship or still holding onto the two, Ghanaian and British whilst serving the country as the Vice President.
