Audio: NDC Hawks is a counter-terrorism group – Brogya Genfi

A National Youth Organizer aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has revealed they are battle-ready for the 2020 general elections.

Yaw Brogya Genfi said the emergence of vigilante group, the Hawks in the Ashanti region is part of efforts by the party to form a “counter-terrorism group ahead of the elections.

The reason for this, he explained is to meet the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) ‘”terrorist” groups like Delta and Invincible forces boot-for-boot.

He cited the example of how these pro-government groups have had the leeway of terrorising people even in the presence of the police and go scot-free.

The aspiring NDC National Youth Organiser also justified his comments in a viral video in which he is seen inciting members of the vigilante group, the Hawks.

The only solution to this impunity, Brogya Genfi stressed is for the NDC to also form a formidable group to overpower in the 2020 elections.
