7 Burkinabes arrested for illegally entering Ghana
Officials of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) at Batoma have arrested at least seven (7) foreign nationals believed to be from Burkina Faso for using unapproved routes into the country.
According to the officials, they Burkinabes we headed towards Techiman where they were believed to be going to do farming or labour works.
The men whose ages ranged from 17 to 24 were screened for COVID-19 before been handed over to the Burkinabe Immigration officers.
This comes after ten (10) Togolese also entered the country illegally about two (2) weeks ago.
One of the ten tested positive for Coronavirus after serving the mandatory 14 day quarantine.
The positive case is reported to have been Bono region’s only COVID-19 case.
