Watch video of Abedi Ayew Pele’s luxurious car collection

Former Black Stars skipper and African football icon, Abedi Ayew Pele remains one of Ghana’s richest sporting personalities due to a collection of properties he owns.

The Olympique Marseille legend lives a luxurious life, owning multimillion-dollar mansions and several cars.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb, where he took ace broadcaster Bola Ray on a tour of his mansion, Abedi showed off his 2006 model Land Cruiser and his $80,000 Mercedes Benz SL 320.

He stated that the Mercedes is his favourite car in his garage.

“It is my favourite car because I have had it for 15 years. I like to keep that to myself, but I can say that it cost between $70,000 and $80,000,” he told Bola Rey.

Abedi Pele owes his wealth to football, where he made most of his money. However, he has also managed to grow his wealth through investments, as he owns multiple businesses in Ghana, including a football club.

The Maestro, as he is known, during his heydays, lifted the Champions League with Marseille and was part of Ghana’s squad that won the 1982 AFCON.

He is a three-time African Footballer of the Year and is often regarded as the greatest Ghanaian footballer of all time. He is also a member of the FIFA Club 100.
