Watch Thomas Partey concede penalty in Arsenal’s draw against Atalanta in Champions League encounter

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey had an unfortunate night in Bergamo as he conceded a penalty during Arsenal’s 0-0 draw against Atalanta in their Champions League opener, but the Italian side failed to capitalize.

Partey, who struggled throughout the game, fouled an Atalanta player, leading to a penalty that was missed by Mateo Retegui, with Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya making a crucial save.

Partey was substituted less than 10 minutes after the penalty miss, replaced by Jorginho. His performance was a stark contrast to his standout display in Arsenal’s recent north London derby victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite the tough night, Partey remains a key player for the Gunners and is expected to feature in this weekend’s Premier League showdown against Manchester City at the Etihad.
