Watch man unveil stash of old cedi notes from over 40 years savings of grandmother

A man has uncovered old cedi bills which were kept by his grandmother as savings towards the acquisition of a land.

In an X video shared by Askghmedia on June 11, 2025, it showed the old cedi currencies which are no longer in circulation.

The video displayed the very old Ghana cedi notes which had been arranged in sections of (¢50,000) now GH¢50.00, and (¢100,000,000) now GH¢100.00 and other notes.

According to him, the old cedi bills are her life savings towards the acquisition of a piece of land.

“Interestingly, my grandmother has kept this money for over 40 years upon several attempt to purchase a piece of land. Unfortunately, she has not really gotten what she wanted. She is still keeping the money. I mean such traits is highly commendable,” he said.
