A VIP bus travelling from Kumasi to Sunyani was completely destroyed by fire on Saturday evening, August 15, 2026, along the Abuakwa stretch of the Kumasi-Sunyani road.
The incident occurred after the bus reportedly began emitting smoke shortly after leaving the Kumasi station. As it reached the Abuakwa area, the situation worsened and the vehicle quickly became engulfed in flames.
