The marital crisis involving Ghanaian actress and fashion personality Nana Akua Addo and her husband, Harold Duodu Norman, has taken a new turn following allegations of infidelity, claims of domestic abuse and renewed attention on a woman identified as Esi Boss.
The controversy intensified after videos and photographs connected to a past incident involving Nana Akua Addo circulated widely online. The material triggered allegations that she had been assaulted by her husband, although the circumstances surrounding the footage have not been independently established.
Norman, through his lawyers, has denied assaulting his wife and offered a different account of the incident. His legal team said the injury shown in the circulating material dates back to 2021 and is connected to an argument between the couple over alleged infidelity. They maintain that the matter is already before the appropriate authorities and the courts.
According to Norman’s lawyers, Nana Akua Addo confronted him after accusing him of being unfaithful. They alleged that the confrontation escalated and that she attempted to attack him, after which she sustained an injury. The lawyers insist that their client subsequently took her to hospital.
The legal team has described the circulation of the old videos and photographs as an attempt to influence public opinion while legal proceedings are ongoing. They have urged the media and the public to exercise caution in commenting on the matter.
The dispute has also revived discussions about alleged infidelity within the couple’s relationship. Nana Akua Addo previously spoke publicly about challenges involving her husband’s alleged infidelity and said the experience had affected her emotionally. She also indicated that the couple had sought counselling as they attempted to resolve their marital difficulties.
Meanwhile, Esi Boss, a woman identified in reports as having previously been linked to Norman, has also spoken publicly amid the controversy. She reportedly said she ended her relationship with Norman about two years ago and had since stayed away from the couple.
Esi Boss has also made allegations of her own concerning Nana Akua Addo, but those claims have not been independently verified. Her comments have added another layer to an already contentious dispute that has generated significant discussion on social media.
Nana Akua Addo’s legal representatives have separately asked the public and media organisations to stop circulating videos connected to the family dispute. They said the material was shared without her knowledge or consent and stressed that the matter is before the relevant authorities and the courts.
The legal dispute is reportedly being handled by the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service, alongside civil proceedings identified as Rosemond Akua Adobea vrs Harold Duodu Norman.
With competing accounts emerging from both sides, the allegations surrounding the marriage remain unresolved. The ongoing investigations and court proceedings are expected to provide further clarity on the circumstances behind the claims.
