One student stabbed as Police arrest 20 Salaga SHS students over violent clash

Following a free-for-all altercation, the Salaga Police have arrested twenty pupils from Salaga Senior High School in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.

One victim was stabbed several times, resulting in injuries of varying degrees.

A pistol made locally and one round of ammunition were also recovered.

The incident has been roundly condemned by school authorities.

“We have handed them over to the Police and hope they screen them and those found culpable be made to face the full rigors of the law. We are disappointed in the actions of the students,” 3.news.com quotes an official of the school as saying.

The police have started interviewing the suspects.

In the meantime, seventeen (17) students have been granted bail. The other three (3) are still being held.
