Nurses Strike: Government releases list of ‘alternative’ health facilities

The government, as part of measures to mitigate the impact of the ongoing strike by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA), has released a list of medical facilities where the public can get their health needs met.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Health (MoH), on June 10, 2025, it urged the general public to continue seeking health care services “in health facilities across the country, including those where nursing services remain available, to ensure their health needs are met.”

It went on to share a list of health facilities, under the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), that the public can turn to for their health needs.

The list highlights the names of the health facilities and their locations in the 16 regions of the country.

The listed CHAG facilities, which are managed by the faith-based organisations are open to serve the public as the ongoing strike by the GRNMA runs into the second week.
