Nedu serves VeryDarkMan with N500m compensation notice for defamation

Media personality Nedu Wazobia has filed a N500 million compensation notice against activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, following his alleged defamatory statements made against him.

In a video circulating on social media, VeryDarkMan revealed that Nedu has filed the compensation notice against him after he exposed the media personality for allegedly diverting UK NGO scholarship funds meant for Nigerians.

In the lawsuit, lawyers representing Nedu and Tokindrumz Picture and Media Ltd stated that a 12-minute video VeryDarkMan shared on his various social media pages on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, contained false and disparaging comments against their clients.

They described the video, titled “How Nedu Diverted NGO Scholarship Meant for Nigerians”, as false. The lawyers claimed that Nedu is not the owner of Tokindrumz but a client and talent under the brand.

Meanwhile, they have requested that VeryDarkMan “retract every video involving Nedu on all of his platforms within 24 hours of receiving the notice, issue a public apology, and pay the sum of N500 million for the damage caused to Nedu’s reputation.”

It was noted that should the activist fail to comply, it would result in legal action. However, VeryDarkMan informed them that they should prepare as he would see them in court.

“Nedu’s lawyers have served me o, so make una get ready for court case,” he said.
