Look at what drug abuse did to me and advise yourself – Actor Joseph Hergurson to youth

Ghanaian actor, Joseph Hergurson, has opened up about how drug addiction ruined his career, urging the youth to stay away from drug abuse because it is detrimental to their health and their lives as a whole.

Hergurson, who was at one point the most sought-after actor in the country, confessed that he has been abusing drugs for some time and that was the reason he went missing from the screens.

According to him, he never once thought of becoming a drug addict, but it started gradually and he currently regrets the state he is in now.

The once fit and good-looking actor has now been admitted into rehab at Achimota in Accra. He has urged the youth to use his life as an example and say no to drugs.

“This is Hergurson now, one of the finest actors in the country. I regret doing drugs with all my life. It vexes me,” he said in an interview with Adwene Media.

The actor, who is willing to become an advocate against drug abuse, urged people to compare his current state to his past life to see the negative impact drugs have had on him.

“Look at how I look like now and compare my pictures. If you want to do drugs, look at Hergurson now and compare it to how I looked two or three years earlier,” he said.

He added, “Do not do drugs, and I want to be an advocate for this. I want Ghanaians to know that drugs are detrimental to your health. They kill your spirit, star, and your soul. They break you down spiritually and physically.”

Joseph Hergurson has starred in movies like ‘Stryke,’ which was produced by Farmhouse, ‘Age 18,’ ‘Quarantine with Bae,’ ‘Barz,’ ‘Family and Marriage,’ among others.
