Just a show-off!’ – Mixed reactions on social media as Dr. Osei Kwame Despite’s mother-in-law’s body is flown by helicopter

The final funeral rites of Mrs. Kate Opoku-Acheampong, the mother of Dr. Osei Kwame Despite’s wife, drew significant attention and sparked mixed reactions on social media.

After a memorial service held in Accra, her body was flown by helicopter in a golden casket to Mamponteng in the Ashanti Region for a final farewell.

The family, accompanied by Despite’s long convoy of luxurious vehicles, gathered at the landing site to receive her body.

This grand gesture has ignited a debate online, with some users viewing it as an extravagant display, while others believe it was a fitting tribute to the late Madam Kate.

Mrs. Kate Opoku-Acheampong was finally laid to rest on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in her hometown of Mamponteng.

The funeral services are set to continue in Accra today, October 12, 2024.
